Quickstart for Traders

Goal: Make your first trade confidently.

TL;DR

  1. Open a token page.

  2. Check its status (early, near-threshold, or graduated).

  3. Set amount and slippage; trade against the bonding curve.

  4. If graduation triggers later, trading switches to a DEX pair.

Choosing a Token

  • Verify the official token page and creator note.

  • Read warnings (impersonation, NSFW, etc.) if present.

  • Look at progress indicators (supply sold %, threshold proximity).

Red Flags to Watch For

  • Tokens claiming to be official brands without verification

  • Promises of guaranteed returns or profits

  • Suspicious or inappropriate imagery

Executing the Trade

  • Start small when learning curves—slippage matters.

  • Very near thresholds, momentum can spike; be conservative.

  • After execution, you'll see updated price and new progress.

Trading Tips

  1. Set Appropriate Slippage: Start with 2-5% for most trades

  2. Check Progress Bar: Tokens near graduation can be more volatile

  3. Monitor Gas Fees: Factor in transaction costs

  4. Test Small First: Get comfortable with the interface

Understanding Token Status

Tokens progress from early phase → active trading → near threshold → graduated. Each phase has different risk/reward characteristics and trading behavior.

After Graduation

Trading moves to DEX with standard market mechanics. Your tokens remain unchanged.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Setting slippage too high during volatile periods

  • Not checking token status before trading

  • FOMO buying near graduation without understanding risks
